We applied data analysis and simulation tools developed by Nonlinear with the focus on optimizing the public bus transport network based on data from the SUBE system.
We provide consulting services to improve the efficiency of public transportation, using advanced engineering and decision-making tools.
The objectives set were:

Development of statistics on mobility patterns, heat maps, maps of the most used stops, among other resources that allow a first analysis of the system.

Development of origin-destination matrices based on massive data from the SUBE system. These matrices are a fundamental input for redesigning routes and for designing new lines by understanding the mobility pattern.

System simulation for the validation of new integrated public transport networks, integrating origin-destination matrix data with potential redesigns of the public transport network.
Results obtained
- Estimation of the potential load on each new or modified line.
- Estimation of the theoretical frequency and fleet size for each time segment.
- Estimation of the change in walking distances for users.
- Estimation of the improvement in travel times for all users.
