Development of a MILP mathematical model for the design of the supply chain for primary, intermediate and capillary logistics of diesel for upstream operations.
The tool allows you to make the following decisions:
a.
Location and size of new fixed and dynamic tanks.
b.
Determination of the installation period
c.
Assignment of fuel types to storage tanks
d.
Fuel flows from refineries to storage facilities
e.
Opening – Closing – Relocation of mobile depots
Results and benefits obtained
1
Notable improvement in the level of service.
2
Reduction of distances traveled.
3
Economic savings in transport and warehouse management costs.

The model considerations were:
- Supplier network comprised of refineries and the YPF Directo supply center located in Neuquén.
- Three types of storage facilities: Large, Medium, and Mobile.
- Service level expressed as the average time a reserve area is served.
- Primary, secondary, and capillary logistics are considered.
- Long-term consumption of each type of diesel fuel is projected, generating a multi-period model.
