A simulation process was carried out to optimize the public transport system of the city of Formosa, with the objective of establishing alternatives that optimize the current network and allow for lower cost alternatives, focusing resources on the main flows.
The simulations allowed for the evaluation of different alternative systems and the impact of modifications on network variables, aiming to balance cost and service level.
Specific simulations were run to adjust the level of vehicles on weekdays, Saturdays and holidays, based on the mobility patterns of those days.
