Redesign of the network for the supply of materials and services to upstream operations

We developed a mathematical model for the optimization of supply chain design for upstream logistics operations.

The model encompasses multiple decisions for a long-term planning horizon, seeking to maximize the NPV of investments and operating costs.

The supply chain and network structure are modeled, as well as the types of warehouses and laundries, segmenting activities and operations, and considering multiple associated economies of scale.

The model allows you to make decisions about:

a.
Number and location of new warehouses
b.
Size and function of the tanks

Advantages and benefits

1

Analysis of centralized vs. decentralized solutions

2

Reduction of maintenance service times.

3

Reduction of inventory immobilization costs

4

Medium-term implementation roadmap.
